Save the date for our 2024 Conference and AGM on April 19th at the Maldron Hotel, Portlaoise, R32 HKN3. This year’s focus is on “Making Behavioural Prophylaxis a priority for veterinary patients and their owners”.

About Dr Kersti Seksel

Dr Kersti Seksel
BVSc (Hons) MRCVS MA (Hons) FANZCVS DACVB DECAWBM FAVA

Kersti is a veterinary graduate from Sydney University, Australia and also has a Bachelor of Arts in Behavioural Science (major in psychology) and Master of Arts (Hons) by thesis. She is trebly boarded being a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists, Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists and Diplomate of the European College of Animal Welfare and Behavioural Medicine.
Kersti is an adjunct Professor at the University of Queensland in Veterinary Behaviour, adjunct Associate Professor at Charles Sturt University, head tutor for the Distance Education course in Behavioural Medicine for the Centre for Veterinary Education at University of Sydney, and now also teaches undergraduate veterinary students at the University of Sydney. She regularly presents at conferences nationally and internationally, both in person and by zoom, has written many textbook chapters, a book, Training Your Cat (with another book on the way), is a regular presenter on radio and teaches course on VIN (Veterinary Information Network). She created Puppy Preschool® and Kitten Kindy® and continues to promote their importance for the mental and physical health of dogs and cats.
